The Levite in him

From the chancel to the pulpit
From the pew to the vestry
He offered his dutiful duty
With unruffled focused heart

Full of passion like fire caught up in his bone
He left no vessel uncleansed – offering his all
His homilies revived the fallen from their fall
The mission – to keep the vineyard flourishing – was done

While holy things live heavenly,
Only earthly things die:
Holy men sleep not die
For they are not earthly!
