A gaze on Nigeria

The Dan mayara guiter, Gàngán drum, and Eastern flute –
Resonate this still air around us as we play.

The vibes sent a holy shrill on the Akata people
As we displayed our strengths in unison.
The percussion and sounds hugged the air,

Every high and low skip the skip of freshness
like a young calf of Lebanon!
The gaze ended as a new melody began:
Seizing the hearts of all for a healthy morrow.
